Embossing
allows designs to be raised or depressed as much as an eighth
inch. Dies take a number of forms including single ,
multi-leveled, beveled, round, flat and sculptured. Embossing can
stand alone as "blind embossing" or be combines with a color.
Foil-Stamping
can create a myriad of unique effects by combining paper, ink and distinctive
foils. Foils come in a variety of colors from brilliant hues to
subtle pastels. Surface qualities are also varied--glossy,
metallic, clear, dull and textured.
Die-Cutting
allows a piece to have a "window" so that only part of the
design is exposed. Die-cutting can be done either mechanically or
by laser. Laser die-cutting allows for finer, more intricate
designs. The laser also causes less damage to the paper surface,
because the paper is vaporized by the beam rather than being cut.
